[Verse 1]
Six beers and five guys and if I remember right, it was a
Wednesday when we got our buzz on for second hand six pack
Half smoked soft pack, light it up boys, take a drag
And when I fought that cough off everyone else thought I was so damn cool

[Pre-Chorus]
But my head was spinnin' like a Tilt-A-Whirl
Yeah man, it really rocked my world

[Chorus]
Back when everything seemed just a little bit stronger
Back when the weekend lasted a little longer
I can't tell you why they did, but things seemed to never end back then
Oh way back when, when a little went a long way

[Verse 2]
One girl, 45 bucks was all it took that night
Hit the steakhouse makeout and the movies way up in the back
Credits roll on pace,to make it all the way to second base
Tried to play it cool like it was nothin' new and she didn't have a clue

[Pre-Chorus]
But my head was spinnin' like a Tilt-A-Whirl
Yeah man, she really rocked my world

[Chorus]
Back when things seemed just a little bit stronger
Back when the weekend lasted a little longer
I can't tell you why they did, things seemed to never end back then
Oh way back when, when a little went a long way

[Chorus]
Back when everything seemed just a little bit stronger
Back when the weekend lasted a little longer
I can't tell you why they did, but things seemed to never end back then
Oh way back when, when a little went a long long way
A long way

Luke Combs

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Luke Combs has been a passionate vocalist and musician since a young age, having even performed a solo performance at Carnegie Hall while still in high school. After dabbling in country music during his time at Appalachian State University, he dropped out his senior year to pursue a music career.

In 2014 he released two EPs, The Way She Rides & Can I Get an Outlaw. However, garnered national attention later that year after the release of his first single “Hurricane” selling 15,000 copies within it’s first week.

In October 2016, Combs signed for Columbia Records Nashville. His first studio album This One’s For You was released in June 2017 and reached #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Country Albums Chart and #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums. This album was re-released with additional unreleased tracks in 2018.
