[Verse 1]
It's a junked out joint off a backroad
A blinkin' window sign with an arrow
A gravel Iot chock full o' toolbox trucks
Makin' their happy hour way home

[Pre-Chorus]
When guys like me lose girls like you
That's where we run to

[Chorus]
They got "Whiskey River" on the jukebox
A honky tonk sawdust dance floor
A neon, five o'clock, pro clock
And plenty damn many when you want one more
This broke-heart fool on an old bar stool
Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you

[Verse 2]
Bunch of good time numbers on the stall door
A picture o' you on the dart board
Them cinder block walls ain't ever been cleaned
Still ain't as dirty as you done me

[Chorus]
"Whiskey River" on the jukebox
A honky-tonk sawdust dance floor
A neon, five o'clock, pro clock
And plenty damn many when you want one more
This broke-heart fool on an old bar stool
Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you

[Instrumental]

[Pre-Chorus]
When guys like me lose girls like you
That's where we run to

[Chorus]
We got "Whiskey River" on a jukebox
A honky-tonk sawdust dance floor
A neon, five o'clock, pro clock
And plenty damn many when you want one more
This broke-heart fool on an old bar stool
Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you

[Outro]
Cold as you

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Luke Combs has been a passionate vocalist and musician since a young age, having even performed a solo performance at Carnegie Hall while still in high school. After dabbling in country music during his time at Appalachian State University, he dropped out his senior year to pursue a music career.

In October 2016, Combs signed for Columbia Records Nashville. His first studio album This One’s For You was released in June 2017 and reached #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Country Albums Chart and #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums. This album was re-released with additional unreleased tracks in 2018.
