[Verse 1]
You might find us early sunrisin'
Tractor drivin', growin' your greens
Stayin' alive, workin' 9 to 5
Just livin' that American dream
We're the plumbers and the preachers
The pre-care teachers
The mailman in your neighbourhood
But it don't matter what we do
We damn sure do it good

[Chorus]
My kinda folk buy beer on Friday
Get right on Saturday night
We're all good people
Spend Sunday under steeple
Come Monday we'll be right on time
There oughta be a law against workin' this hard
And still havin' this much fun
We get it done, drink a beer
Catch a fish, hunt a deer
And then we'll firе up a little smoke
Me and my kinda folk

[Verse 2]
Thеre's a whip of southern wind singin'
And a red sun sinkin'
Back beneath a grove of oak trees
We're takin' it slow, easy come easy go
A county road philosophy
I ain't sayin' it's right, what we're livin' like
But it feels pretty hard to beat

[Chorus]
Yeah, my kinda folk buy beer on Friday
Get right on Saturday night
We're all good people
Spend Sunday under steeple
Come Monday we'll be right on time
There oughta be a law against workin' this hard
And still havin' this much fun
We get it done, drink a beer
Catch a fish, hunt a deer
And then we'll fire up a little smoke
Me and my kinda folk

[Guitar Solo]

[Chorus]
Oh, my kinda folks buy beer on Friday
Get right on Saturday night
We're all good people
Spend Sunday under steeple
Come Monday we'll be right on time
There oughta be a law against workin' this hard
And still havin' this much fun
We get it done, drink a beer
Catch a fish, hunt a deer
And then we'll fire up a little smoke
Me and my kinda folk

[Outro]
Oh, me and my kinda folk

[Instrumental Interlude / Guitar Solo]

Luke Combs

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Luke Combs has been a passionate vocalist and musician since a young age, having even performed a solo performance at Carnegie Hall while still in high school. After dabbling in country music during his time at Appalachian State University, he dropped out his senior year to pursue a music career.

In 2014 he released two EPs, The Way She Rides & Can I Get an Outlaw. However, garnered national attention later that year after the release of his first single “Hurricane” selling 15,000 copies within it’s first week.

In October 2016, Combs signed for Columbia Records Nashville. His first studio album This One’s For You was released in June 2017 and reached #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Country Albums Chart and #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums. This album was re-released with additional unreleased tracks in 2018.
