[Verse 1]
Everybody's on the same page
No new chapters
We'll never change
Everybody wants to be cool, yes they do
And I'm just like them
But I won't be no fool
I guess I could waste all my time and my money
Just tryna look right
But it doesn't change who I am in my heart if I look like a dime

[Chorus]
So I want you to close your eyes
Sing to the world tonight
And show them what's beautiful
I don't care what they think
No, I'm not listening
'Cause I know I'm beautiful
So close your eyes

[Post-Chorus]
Sh-sh-show them what's beautiful
Sh-sh-show them what's beautiful
Come on, show them
Sh-sh-show them what's beautiful
Sh-sh-show them what's beautiful

[Verse 2]
Everybody's born to be different
That's the one thing (Hey) that makes us the same
So don't you let their words try to change you
Don't let them make you into something you ain't, no

[Chorus]
So I want you to close your eyes
Sing to the world tonight (Oh baby)
And show them what's beautiful (No)
I don't care what they think
No, I'm not listening
'Cause I know I'm beautiful
So close your eyes

[Post-Chorus]
Sh-sh-show them what's beautiful

[Bridge]
Show the world the you inside
Raise your voice and close your eyes
'Cause you're beautiful
Come on and show the world the you inside
(Come on and show them)
Raise your voice and close your eyes (Oh, whoa)
'Cause you're beautiful

[Chorus]
So I want you to close your eyes
Sing to the world tonight
And show them what's beautiful
I don't care what they think
No, I'm not listening
'Cause I know I'm beautiful
So close your eyes

Meghan Trainor

Meghan Trainor is a pop singer-songwriter from Nantucket. Before launching her solo career, she wrote songs for the likes of Sia and Sabrina Carpenter. She entered pop stardom with the controversial but danceable body-positivity anthem “All About That Bass,” which led her 2015 debut LP, Title.

In 2016, Meghan released her sophomore effort Thank You, which was preceded by the smash single “NO.” Peaking at #3 on the Hot 100, top 20 track “Me Too” & the reggae-influenced “Better” supported the release of the album.

Staying reasonably quiet in 2017, Trainor dropped the single “I’m A Lady” for the “The The Lost Village.” Trainor underwent vocal surgery during the year and needed time to rest her voice before returning to the limelight.
