[Verse 1]
Take my horse down to the water, let him graze awhile
Take my horse down to the water, let him graze awhile
I have not been down these roads since I was a child
I ain't broke and I ain't hungry, but I'm close enough to care
I ain't broke and I ain't hungry, but I'm close enough to care
Send my things to my niece, Laura, she'll keep 'em for me there

[Chorus]
I forgive it all, I forgive it all
With her, I forgive it all

[Verse 2]
There ain't no money in this deal, I just tag along
There ain't no money in this deal, I just tag along
Some things I feel right, somebody else thinks wrong

[Chorus]
I forgive it all, I forgive it all
With her, I forgive it all

[Verse 3]
People are what people make em', and that ain't gonna change
People are what people make 'em, and that ain't gonna change
There ain't nothing you can do, nothing you could rearrange

[Chorus]
But I forgive it all, I forgive it all
With her, I forgive it all
With her, I forgive it all

Mudcrutch

This Gainesville Florida band used to be called The Epics. Then someone in the band suggested the new name Mudcrutch. Tom says it wasn’t him; band mates say it was. It fell apart after moving to California. From its ashes Tom Petty built The Heartbreakers. Later in life, though, Tom got the band back together and they recorded two albums. Some of Tom’s best songs (“Hungry No More”, “I Forgive It All”, “Crystal River”) are on these records.
