[Intro]
Let's go

Make the commitment (x3)

[Verse 1]
Do you love me?
That's what I need to know
You never tell me
But every now and then it shows
You want your freedom
And yet you want me too
Are you afraid that
I might just be close to you?

[Hook]
Maybe that's just the way you are
Well baby there's two of us involved
In your mind that's how it's got to be
(Is this your reality?)
Is this the beginning of the end?
I wanna be more than just your friend
Everything just can't go your way
(There's really nothing left to say but)

[Chorus]
(It's time)
Time to make a decision
(Make up your mind)
You've got to make a commitment
(It's time)
Time to make a decision
(Make up your mind)
Commitment

[Verse 2]
I've got this feeling
You say we're only friends
You leave it open
So someone else can step right in
I need a lady, someone that's on my side
Not another man
So turn away your foolish pride

[Pre-Hook]
Maybe that's just the way you are
But baby there's two of us involved
In your mind that's how it's got to be
(Is this your reality?)
Is this the beginning of the end?
I wanna be more than just your friend
Everything just can't go your way, no no
(There's really nothing left to say but)

[Hook]
(It's time)
Time to make a decision
(Make up your mind)
It's time to make a commitment
(It's time)
Time to make a decision
(Make up your mind)
It's time to make a commitment

(Repeat)

[Bridge]
(It's time)
(Tell me what you wanna do)
(It's time)

Is this--
Is this your reality?
There's really nothing left to say but

[Hook]
(It's time)
Time to make a decision
(Make up your mind)
It's time to make a commitment
(It's time)
Time to make a decision
(Make up your mind)
It's time to make a commitment
(Repeat 6x)

Portrait (R&B)

Often thought of as one of New Jack Swing’s one-hit wonder groups, Portrait is a vocal quartet made up of South Central, L.A. natives Michael Angelo Saulsberry and Eric Kirkland, Irving Washington III of Providence, Rhode Island, and Phillip Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They made it big with their 1992 hit “Here We Go Again!” The track reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Portrait lent their vocals to various projects in the two years following the release of their debut self-titled album, including the Quincy Jones track “Slow Jams” on the 1994 album Q’s Jook Joint.

They released their second album, All That Matters, in 1995, which didn’t receive as much commercial success as their debut album, leading them to decide to focus on catering to a Japanese audience with their third album, Picturesque, in 1996.
