[Intro: Saxophone]

[Verse 1]
Don't be afraid of what you feel, lady
Tonight is the night
I'll take my time and do the things
To fulfill your needs
I'll make it worth your while
And we can go

[Chorus]
On and on
(Making love 'til dawn)
We can go on and on
(When we begin, it will never end)
On and on
(Making love 'til dawn)
We can go on and on
'Til the morning comes

[Verse 2]
I've got the fever
So let me please ya
I know just want you like
(I know just what you like)
A tender kiss from my lips, ohh, to get us started
Then I'll rub you down
Over and over again

[Chorus]
On and on
(Making love 'til dawn)
We can go on and on
(You and me, me and you)
On and on
(Making love 'til dawn)
We can go on and on
'Til the morning comes

[Bridge]
Catering to the passion we know we feel inside
Ooh baby, we can go on and on and on

[Chorus]
On and on
(Oh pretty lady, you're driving me crazy)
On and on
'Til the morning comes, come on

[Saxophone break]

[Bridge]
Oh, come on
Catering to the passion we know we feel inside
Don't you feel it, don't you feel it, baby?
Can you feel it, can you feel it, lady?
(On and on)
If you feel it, come and get it, oh yeah
I got good loving, wanna give it to you baby

[Chorus]
On and on
(Yeah, yeah, on and on)
On and on
'Til the morning comes
(On and on)
Don't you feel it, don't you feel it, baby? (I wanna touch you)
Can you feel it, can you feel it, lady? (Over and over again)
(On and on)
If you feel it, come and get it, oh yeah
I got good loving, wanna give it to you baby
(On and on)
I wanna run my fingers through your hair
(On and on)
Oh, come on lady, don't you feel it?
(On and on)
You know what I mean, don't you feel it?

[Interlude]
Oh baby
Don't be afraid of what you feel
(On and on)
Tonight is your night
And this is you and me
(On and on)
Going on and on, ahh

[Saxophone break]

[Outro]
Catering to the passion we know we feel
Catering to the passion we know we feel
Catering to the passion we know we feel

Portrait (R&B)

Often thought of as one of New Jack Swing’s one-hit wonder groups, Portrait is a vocal quartet made up of South Central, L.A. natives Michael Angelo Saulsberry and Eric Kirkland, Irving Washington III of Providence, Rhode Island, and Phillip Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They made it big with their 1992 hit “Here We Go Again!” The track reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Portrait lent their vocals to various projects in the two years following the release of their debut self-titled album, including the Quincy Jones track “Slow Jams” on the 1994 album Q’s Jook Joint.

They released their second album, All That Matters, in 1995, which didn’t receive as much commercial success as their debut album, leading them to decide to focus on catering to a Japanese audience with their third album, Picturesque, in 1996.
