[Spoken Intro]
It's the Piper, y'all
I just wanna know what y'all are doin' this weekend
Whoa, yeah
I got somethin' goin' down
And I just want y'all to be there
To share this dream of love

[Verse 1]
You're invited
To come and be a part of a
Celebration
On my love train
You don't need nothin'
Come as you are, just
Make sure when I show you love
You show love back the same

[Pre-Chorus]
Ooh, got my shoes, got my hat, got my suit
And I'm ready to go now (go now), oh yeah
And me and my partner look so good
It's like we about to do a show now
So if you're steppin', come on down

[Chorus]
Grab your partner
Hit the dance floor
Tonight we'll be
Steppin' into Heaven (stepping into Heaven)
Grab her hand and
Spin her 'round and 'round
Tonight we'll be
Steppin' into Heaven

[Verse 2]
Oh, congratulations
If you're celebratin'
Your anniversary
Or your birthday
Here by yourself?
Then get up and find some one
Because
We don't need no reason to celebrate

[Pre-Chorus]
Ooh, got my shoes, got my hat, got my suit
And I'm ready to go now (go now), oh yeah
And me and my partner look so good
It's like we about to do a show now
So if you're steppin', come on down

[Chorus]
Grab your partner
Hit the dance floor
Tonight we'll be
Steppin' into Heaven (steppin' into Heaven)
Grab her hand and
Spin her 'round and 'round
Tonight we'll be
Steppin' into Heaven

[Bridge]
(Music is like)
Music's like a holiday (oh yeah)
It makes me wanna celebrate (celebrate)
It makes me call somebody up (oh yeah)
And tell 'em, "Let's go hit the floor"
(Every time)
Every time I (I hear the music) hear the music
(whoa) Makes me wanna (makes me wanna) tell somebody...

[Chorus]
Grab your partner (grab your partner)
Hit the dance floor (oh)
Tonight we'll be (hey)
Steppin' into Heaven (tonight, we're gonna be steppin')
Grab her hand and
Spin her 'round and 'round
Tonight we'll be
Steppin' into Heaven

[Bridge]
C'mon, join hands
C'mon, join hands
C'mon, join hands
Yes, let's step into Heaven
C'mon, join hands
Ooh, Happy People, join hands
Join hands
Come on and love somebody, hey
Join hands
Every woman
Join hands
Every man
Join hands
C'mon
Let's step into Heaven

[Chorus]
Grab your partner
Hit the dance floor
Tonight we'll be
Steppin' into Heaven...

[Outro]
Uh, steppin' into Heaven
It's the Piper, your music Weatherman, and, uh, wow!
It's love o'clock y'all, and like I said
It's gonna be sunny all day
So ww Happy People, baby
Ha ha ha...

Robert Kelly is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, where he first started performing under the “L” subway tracks as a teenager. Kelly wrote and produced the entire album, which contained the #1 R&B hits “Honey Love” and “Slow Dance,” along with the Top 10 R&B hits “She’s Got That Vibe” (#7) and “Dedicated” (#9).
