He's bleeding in bed
A boy lies melting reverently
Giving his whole self eventually to what'll drown him in the end

He's the waves that crash and break him down
He's the wind that tosses them around
He's the voices in his head

What's wrong?
Is it lonely out there all alone
As you float atop a blue unknown?
You better join it while you can

You can give up
No, you got so close
But a part of me can't help but hope
You follow through with what you said

Got a book of rules you'll never break
But thе sky's never felt morе opaque
Want you to show me how you bend (I got wants, I got needs)
I've got hands and a godspeed
I can change my biology
Put my faith in biology
(I've got all I could burn)
Now the pressure's more than he can stand
And at 3 am he takes his chance
Sneaks his phone down to his bed (I got wants, I got needs)
(I've got hands and a godspeed)
He convinced himself he heard a knock
(I can change my biology)
His door stays closed but doesn't lock
And what's outside scares him to death (Like a book, like a book)
In the dark, a boy becomes a man
In a world he’ll come to understand
Passes animals for men

Now she's telling me it's been a month
That she misses how we used to touch
I could hardly even tell

And there's something in the air tonight
But the tension's only on one side
I feel satisfied as hell

As my love's eaten away by lust
And my love's left there in the dust
Think I'm losing her as well

In the dark, a boy is playing man
I'm beginning now to understand
I'm no man, I'm something else

Ritt Momney

Ritt Momney (originally called the spooks) is the indie solo project of Salt Lake City native Jack Rutter.

Under the name the spooks, Ritt Momney released their first single, Cold, which gained popularity in the hallways of Highland High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in the spring of 2016. The original members were Jack Rutter, his now ex-girlfriend Lindsey Lloyd, and friends Auden Winchester, Hank Thompson, Zach Olson, and Chris Kearl.

Beginning as an indie rock band comprised of high school friends, the project became a personal outlet for Rutter after his bandmates left on Latter-Day Saint missions and his girlfriend left for college. In his bedroom, he began writing, recording, and producing his upcoming debut LP, entitled “Her and All of My Friends,” in which Rutter grapples with loss, loneliness, and his drift away from Utah Latter-Day Saint culture. Nowadays, the band’s members often come and go, leaving Jack Rutter at the center of it all. Besides Rutter, there is no ‘official’ set of band members.
