[Chorus]
Alone in my jail cell, I remember (I was alone)
Alone in my jail cell, one cold December (Let's get it)
I hit my knees, and prayed for better days
I should've hit my knees and prayed for better ways
He play at the red light, he'll catch a red light
Promise, baby, if your head right, then I'm there every night
I went broke, I got my bread right, I got my bread right
I went broke, I got my bread right, got my bread right
Alone in my jail cell, I remember (All alone)
Alone in my jail cell, cold December (I was alone)
I hit my knees, and prayed for better days
I should've hit my knees and prayed for better ways
He play at the red light, he'll catch a red light
Promise, baby, if your head right, then I'm there every night
I went broke, I got my bread right, I got my bread right
I went broke, I got my bread right, got my bread right

[Verse]
I miss you, baby boy
I'ma pull out for Lil Juvenile
They freed Day on the rec yard
But I can't find the energy to crack a smile
If you want me go around on the park, mama
I done stayed up and prayed all damn night
Heard that my new charges PBL
That means punishable by life
Look, I don't wanna rot in my cell, mama
I don't wanna make last year my last year
Did you see how they did me in court, mama?
Why they keep tryna make me out a bad kid?
How come they ain't let me out this morning?
All my friends came in and got release dates
They don't let me out next Monday
Then I'ma start plottin' on the escape
Mama, tell me, how I end up shit creek?
Tell me, why I feel like they out to get me?
In the system, they don't treat me like I'm 16
Cellmate caught 8, only 15
Tryna get me for attempt and some burglaries
Tell 'em I don't know nothin', murder first degree
Tell 'em I don't wanna talk 'bout some burglaries
If the nigga is dead, it's a third degree
Pussy nigga tried to rob me and murder me
So I shot his ass
Hit the wrong nigga's mama, but I got his ass
Did he leave on a stretcher or a body bag?
Pussy nigga tried to rob but I bucked the jack
All the charges got dropped
If the state wanna pick it up
Tell the state they can give it up
At this point, I don't give a fuck

[Outro]
Alone in my jail cell, I remember
Alone in my jail cell, cold December
I hit my knees, and prayed for better days
I should've hit my knees and prayed for better ways
