[Verse 1]
Desperate for the day
Craving for that high
Denying the addiction
It rules my life
Want to disappear
Crawl inside the mind
Vanish from the light

[Pre-Chorus]
One more, I swear
Last time again
I don't need this
Can't help myself
One more, I swear
I don't want this suffering

[Chorus]
All you say
Won't make it go away
Killing by myself
I'm not here to stay
Already crossed that line
Lucky I'm alive
Climbed out from the bottom
Can't rule my life
Never far behind
Closer every time
I'm the one who saved me

[Pre-Chorus]
One more, I swear
Last time again
I don't want this
Can't help myself
Last time
Building something so much stronger

[Chorus]
All you say
Won't make it go away
Killing by myself
I'm not here to stay
Already crossed that line
Lucky I'm alive
Climbed out from the bottom
Can't rule my life
Never far behind
Closer every time
I'm the one who saved me

[Bridge]
The voice
It speaks
It's haunting me
To change
My need
Won't let
Me be

[Outro]
Try to change my ways
A little bit each day
Searching for redemption
Won't rule my life
Beaten, paid the price
Fought to stay alive
I found all my worth
Won't rule my life

Sepultura

Sepultura is a Brazilian heavy metal band from Belo Horizonte. Formed in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, the band was a major force in the death metal, thrash metal and groove metal genres during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their later experiments drawing influence from alternative metal, world music, nu metal, hardcore punk and industrial metal.

The first Sepultura show was on December 4th, 1984. The band played two songs that never were re-recorded or released.

The band name comes from a Portuguese translation of Motörhead’s song “Dancing on Your Grave” which is “Dançando na sua Sepultura”. Sepultura means “grave” (sepulchre) in Portuguese (and in some other Latin-based languages). Originally, they wanted to call the band Tropa de Choque (Shock Troops), but found that the name had been used before.
