I dedicate myself today
I'm wide, wide open
Though I left with broken wings
I fly higher than you

'Cause all those vicious things you said were just lies
They were never true
I would hide my face away for a while
If I was you

I'm darker than the darkest moon tonight
Let it be known
But you know when I want to shine this bright
You don't come close

When I scream, it makes you shiver
Who's the loser, who's the winner?
Yeah
Well, you never know
No, you never know

I, oh, I, I don't really wanna know...
I, oh, I, I don't really wanna know...
I, oh, I, I don't really wanna know...

I dedicate myself today
I'm wide, wide open
Though I left with broken wings
I fly higher than you

'Cause all those vicious things you said were just lies
They were never true
I would hide my face away for a while
If I was you

I, oh, I, I don't really wanna know
I, oh, I, I don't really wanna know

I don't really wanna know...
I don't really wanna know...
I don't really wanna know...
I don't really wanna know...
I don't really wanna know...

Shakespears Sister

Shakespear’s Sister is a pop-rock duo formed in 1988 by Siobhan Fahey, who left Bananarama after disagreements with the musical direction the band was going. The band was originally intended to be Fahey’s solo project, but immediately became a duo after she recruited American singer Marcella Detroit (aka Marcy Levy).
