Girl
(Girl!)
Why don't you save yourself
A heartache and enter my world?
(Girl!)
So we can rule together
Now and forever, girl
(Girl!)
Why don't you say you'll be
My woman, be my pearl
(Girl!)
So I can take you from your shel
And show the world

How it's easy to find romance
When people love one another
It's easy to be free
Can't you see
(Can't you see)
What a love could be?
What a love could be for you, girl

(Girl!)
Why don't you take this chance
And let love be romance now, girl?
(Girl!)
Why don't you make up your mind?
Don't waste too much time now, girl
(Girl!)
I'll make it easy for you
You know I adore you, girl
(Girl!)
I'm gonna take you from your shell
And show the world!

How it's easy to find romance
When two people love one another
It's easy to be free
Can't you see
(Can't you see)
What a love could be?
Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

One and only girl
We can show the world

Girl!
(Girl!)
Why don't you save yourself
A heartache and enter my world?
(Girl!)
So we can rule together
Now and forever, girl
(Girl!)
Why don't you say you'll be
My woman, be my pearl
(Girl!)
So I can take you from your shell
And show the world

How it's easy to find romance
When people love one another
It's easy to be free
Can't you see
(Can't you see)
What a love could be?
What a love could be for you, girl

(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
I keep loving you, baby girl
(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
Oh, oh, you keep me loving you, girl
(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
Don't hold back for me, girl, no
(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
I'll show you what a love could be

(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
Be woman, be my pearl
(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
Oh, girl
(Oh, girl)
Oh, girl
(Oh, girl)
Wooh, whoo, whoo
(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
(Girl!)
(Oh, girl)

Shalamar

Shalamar is an American R&B and soul music vocal group, active in the mid-1970s and throughout the 1980s. Their original lineup consisted of Jeffrey Daniel, Jody Watley, and Gary Mumford. The group went through various lineup changes throughout the years, with Mumford replaced by Gerald Brown, and again by Howard Hewett. The lineup of Daniel, Hewett, and Watley was the most successful, selling two Platinum albums (Three For Love, Friends) and one Gold album (Big Fun).

Despite more lineup changes in the ‘80s, the group still churned out hits such as “Dancing in the Sheets” and “Don’t Get Stopped in Beverly Hills”, which won them a Grammy.

Daniel, Hewett, and Watley eventually reunited several times in the ‘90s and as recently as 2015, playing in the UK where they’ve had the most success.
