[Verse 1]
It's Monday and I hear you when you say you hate that day
Me too, but there's nothing much about it we can do
Let's just get to counting down the hours
Dreaming of all of our favorite songs
We know the words by heart and we will shout and be
Singing along as loud as we like
Friday night

[Chorus]
More fun is what we need
Everyone is on their feet
The weekend's here and all we want to do is be together
Get a little crazy and forget what happens later
We made it through the week
Now we're headed to the streets
More fun is what we need

[Verse 2]
One day we'll be sitting back, laughing all about the times
We were doing donuts in the parking lots and running lights
The time of our lives is here and now and yes, we got the power
Cause we know it all
We're just getting started, open hearted, having a ball
And nothing but time on our side

[Chorus]
More fun is what we need
Everyone is on their feet
The weekend's here and all we want to do is be together
Get a little crazy and forget what happens later
We made it through the week
Now we're headed to the street

[Bridge]
The day was long but the night is young and we ain't got to worry
We're running out of light, but that's alright
No one needs to hurry
Morning such a long way away
And we, we got all night to play

[Chorus]
More fun is what we need
Everyone is on their feet
The weekend's here and all we want to do is be together
Get a little crazy and forget what happens later
We made it through the week (we made it)
Now we're headed to the street

[Outro]
Cause more fun is what we need
More fun is all we need

Shania Twain

Sometimes referred to as the “queen of country pop,” Shania Twain is the best selling female artist in the history of country music, having sold 85 million+ records. She is the first and only female music artist to have three albums in a row certified Diamond by the RIAA.

Shania Twain retired from performing in 2009, citing a weakening singing voice, later consulting specialists who diagnosed her with dysphonia, likely a result of lyme disease. She returned to the stage in her show Still the One in 2012, and begun touring again in 2015.

In October 2016 she told Rolling Stone she had new music coming “really soon” which followed her plans to release her fifth studio album when she was 50.
