[Verse 1]
Hey, you, sitting in the corner
Can't ya hear the jukebox playing?
Everybody's up doing the two-step
And you're not even tappin' your toe
Won't you let a lady buy you a cold brew?
Loosen you up a little more than you dare to?
Maybe take a ride in my Cadillac
God ain't gonna getcha for that

[Chorus]
God ain't gonna getcha for that
He's much too busy with the guys in the black hats
There's nothing wrong with a man and a woman
Flirting with a honky-tonk moon
God ain't gonna pay no attention
If we're just making use of his invention
Come on, baby, don't hold back
God ain't gonna getcha for that

[Verse 2]
I can tell you're the quiet type
Are you new in town or just a little bit shy?
Didn't you ever catch me looking?
I've been eyeing you all night
Won't you let a lady buy you a cold brew?
Loosen you up a little more than you dare to?
Maybe take a ride in my Cadillac?
God ain't gonna getcha for that

[Chorus]
God ain't gonna getcha for that
He's much too busy with the guys in the black hats
There's nothing wrong with a man and a woman
Flirting with a honky-tonk moon, no
God ain't gonna pay no attention
If we're just making use of his invention
Come on, baby, don't hold back
God ain't gonna getcha for that
God ain't gonna getcha for that
He's much too busy with the guys in the black hats
There's nothing wrong with a man and a woman
Flirting with a honky-tonk moon
No, God ain't gonna pay no attention
If we're just making use of his invention
Come on, baby, don't hold back
God ain't gonna getcha for that

[Outro]
No, God ain't gonna getcha for that
God ain't gonna getcha for that

Shania Twain

Sometimes referred to as the “queen of country pop,” Shania Twain is the best selling female artist in the history of country music, having sold 85 million+ records. She is the first and only female music artist to have three albums in a row certified Diamond by the RIAA.

Shania Twain retired from performing in 2009, citing a weakening singing voice, later consulting specialists who diagnosed her with dysphonia, likely a result of lyme disease. She returned to the stage in her show Still the One in 2012, and begun touring again in 2015.

In October 2016 she told Rolling Stone she had new music coming “really soon” which followed her plans to release her fifth studio album when she was 50.
