Riding on a train
Moving along now
Grooving in the rain
It's getting late now

That driver better concentrate
On getting me back so I'm not late
See I been away so long
I gotta get home now
I been away so long
Feeling alone now

Got my family waiting for me
My love is simple like one, two, three

It's why I'm riding on a train
It's getting late now
Who's gonna take the blame?
Everybody is late now

That's why I'm riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)

See I been away so long
I gotta get home now
I been away so long
Feeling alone now

That driver better concentrate
On getting me back so I'm not late
Riding on this train
Moving along now
Grooving in the rain
It's getting late now

Got my family waiting for me
My love is simple like one, two, three

It's why I'm riding on a train
It's getting late now
Who's gonna take the blame?
Everybody is late now

That's why I'm riding (moving along)
Riding (moving along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)

Yeah, yeah (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)
Riding (move it along)

Come on, babe (move it along)
I'm coming home now
I'm coming home (move it along)
I'm coming home (move it along)
I'm coming home (move it along)
I'm getting home now (move it along)
Come on
(Move it along)
Woo, hit it, hit it (move it along)
(Move it along)

Simply Red

Simply Red is a British soul and pop band. The first incarnation of the band was a punk group called The Frantic Elevators, whose seven-year run produced limited releases on local labels and ended in 1984 upon critical acclaim for their final single, “Holding Back the Years”.

By early 1985, Mick Hucknall and manager Elliot Rashman had assembled a band of local session musicians and begun to attract record company attention. The group adopted the name “Red” (after Hucknall’s nickname, denoting his hair colour) but then Mick decided it would sound better with the addition of the word ‘Simply.’

Since the mid 1980s, the band has sold more than 50 million albums.
