[Intro]
Mm, yeah

[Verse 1]
Oh, I've been waiting all day just to press rewind
I've been waiting all day for you to hit my line
I've been waiting all day just to steal your time
Maybe make you mine, let it all unwind
'Cause you were there since way before we got all famous
And you'll be there when we probably end up nameless
Oh, you're the only one I ever wanna stay with
Oh, you're the only one who understands my language
Yeah, yeah, yеah, yeah
Oh, you're the only onе who understands my language
Yeah, yeah
And changes, all my different phases, let's face it

[Chorus]
Oh, I don't care what we do-do, do-do, do-do
Oh, I just wanna be with you, ooh, you, ooh, you, ooh
Oh, tell me, tell me what's the mo—, move, mo—, move, mo—, move?
Oh, I just wanna be with you, ooh, you, ooh, you, ooh, ooh-ooh

[Verse 2]
Summertime's over but not for me and you
Thinking 'bout the things we still have left to do
And I don't know what tomorrow's gonna bring
But if I got you, then I got everything
Now we're riding through the city with the seat leaned back
Got the window down, looking through a Kodak
You could play your music if you wanna do that
You said, "I'll play you something slow, life is moving too fast" (Way too fast, life is moving too fast)
Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah (Way too fast, life is moving too fast), yeah-yeah (Way too fast, life is moving too fast)

[Outro]
Way too fast, life is moving too fast
Way too fast, life is moving too fast
Way too fast, life is moving too fast
Way too fast, life is moving too fast

Surfaces

Formed in 2017, Surfaces is a Texas-based duo made up of Forrest. and Colin Padalecki, making upbeat, feel-good pop influenced by ‘70s R&B, electronica, and hip-hop.

After working with his cousin in high school, Padalecki continued working on tracks while attending Texas A&M University, where he began posting songs online, which caught the attention of Forrest. In December 2017, Surfaces released their debut album, Surf, which included the song “Be Alright.”

The track gained fans online and helped build buzz for the duo, who eventually found themselves touring in support of the album. In 2019, they issued their sophomore LP, Where the Light Is, which included “Sunday Best,” catapulting the duo into the spotlight. Surfaces returned with their third album, Horizons, in 2020.
