Take it all, take it now, break down
You and me tonight
And just let it alright
Everything that you thought was real
Doesn't make much sense to me
But you know it's alright

Break a promise one more time
Change your mind for just one night
And it's alright
Pull me so close
That I can't feel a thing at all
You won't even miss me when I'm gone

You can take me home
It'll be alright
Am I on my own
Or can we live tonight, together?
We can just get high
And we can laugh all night
Don't wanna die alone
So can we live tonight, together?

Waste our time together
Waste our time

Here it is, it'll fade away
Like the high, the fame and friends you made
That don't care
But you and I go fade to black
Let the twilight take us back
To nowhere

'Cause nowhere is the place where we belong together
And nowhere is the space that we can fill forever
And we both know tonight will never make things better
Where everything means nothing anyway

You can take me home
It'll be alright
Am I on my own
Or can we live tonight, together?
We can just get high
And we can laugh all night
Don't wanna die alone
So can we live tonight, together?

I don't wanna waste your time
But I don't wanna say goodnight
Tell me just one more lie
Let's spend a lonely night together
I ain't gonna take your life
Nothing's gonna make this right
We can waste our time together

It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
(Waste our time together)
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
(Waste our time together)
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
(Waste our time together)
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
(Waste our time)

You can take me home
It'll be alright
Am I on my own
Or can we live tonight, together?
We can just get high
And we can laugh all night
Don't wanna die alone
So can we live tonight, together?

You can take me home
And it'll be alright
Am I on my own
Or can we live tonight, together?
We can just get high
And we can laugh all night
Don't wanna die alone
So can we live tonight, together?

The Goo Goo Dolls

The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, NY, during one of Buffalo’s most prolific underground music phases. The band was formed by John Rzeznik (Also known as Johnny Rzeznik), lead singer and songwriter for the band, with bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. Mike Malinin later replaced Tutuska as the band’s drummer.

The band has released twelve studio albums between 1986 and 2017, but they are best known for platinum-selling A Boy Named Goo (1995) and Dizzy Up the Girl (1998). These mid- to late 1990s albums contain the Goo Goo Dolls' biggest hits to date – Name and Iris most notably, but also Slide, Black Balloon, and Dizzy

These hits made the Goo Goo Dolls a household name for radio-friendly “prom night power balladry” (as one Rolling Stone review put it), but the band’s early output was often far rougher musically, melding the band’s edgier punk influences with an often soft sensibility in the mold of the band’s early heroes, The Replacements. One can hear these influences on many songs on A Boy Named Goo though these affinities would fade after Dizzy Up the Girl.
