I can't help this feeling
Every time you go away
Something you're concealing
Something you won't say
Will you look in my eyes
When I ask you where you've been
Say what you've been doing
Tell me who you've seen

Tell another tale
Name another name
Dish a little dirt
To evade the frame
Change the tale you tell
From the one you swore
Claim you never said
What you said before

Liar
Liar
Liar
Liar

Think you are the winner
No one else is in the game
You can keep the prizes
You can keep the shame

Tell another tale
Get a friend's support
Add the fine detail
As an afterthought
Never any doubt
Never any shame
Under no account
Ever take the blame

Liar
Liar
How can I stay
When your words give you away
Liar
Liar
How can I stay
How can I stay

(Why should I stay
Why should I stay
Why should I stay
Why should I stay)

Liar
(Pathological)
Liar
How can I stay
When your lies give you away
Liar
(You're a liar)
Liar
(Such a liar)
How can I stay
Is there one born every day

Liar
(You're a liar)
Liar
(Such a liar)
How can I stay
When your words drive me away
Liar
(Such a liar)

The Human League

The Human League are a synth pop band from Sheffield, England, formed in 1977. They generated a string of synthesizer-backed dance pop hits throughout the 80s. David Bowie dubbed the group “the sound of the future” in 1981.

The band is best known for its third studio album released in 1981, Dare! The fourth single from Dare, “Don’t You Want Me,” catapulted to #1 in the UK and US.

Phil Oakey is the only core member of the group. The band’s first incarnation was as an arty all-male synthesizer group, composed of Oakey, Martyn Ware, and Ian Craig Marsh. In the 1980s, Ware and Marsh left the group after continued conflicts with Oakey—they went on to form Heaven 17.
