[Chorus: Jackson 5]
Come on and do the love dance
Yes, you can, yes, you can
Come on and do the love dance
With your eyes, with your hands

[Verse 1: Michael]
Body language, body language
Let you move it 'til your secrets deep within
The body language, body language
Let your body tell the story if you can

[Chorus: Jackson 5]
Come on and do the love dance
Move your mighty mighty body, baby
Come on and do the love dance
Shake your mighty mighty body, baby

[Verse 2: Jermaine + Michael]
Now girls and boys around the world join hands
Express yourself in anyway you can
We're gonna groove you, let the music take your mind now
And start your body moving right on time now
Move it, move your mighty, mighty body, baby
Express yourself, oh, move it, express yourself
Move it, move it, move it, move it, baby
Oh, move baby

[Bridge: Jackson 5+Michael]
Oh shake it to the east, shake it the west
Shake it to the very one you love best
Body language
Do the love dance
Body language
Yes, you can can, yes, you can can, yes, you can can
Let you move me 'til your secret deep within
Express yourself, express yourself

[Jermaine]
You do it with your eyes, you do it with your hands
You do it with your feet, you do the love dance
You do the love dance, you do the love dance

[Jackson 5]
Ahh...
Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it
Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it

[Jermaine]
Move it, move it, move it, move it baby
Oh, move baby

[Jackson 5 + Michael]
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Oh, shake it to the east, shake it the west
Shake it to the very one you love best
Do the love dance
Body language
Let you move me 'til your secret deep within
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Body language, body language
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language

Oh, shake it to the east, shake it the west
Shake it to the very one you love best
Body language, body language
Do the love dance
Yes, you can can, yes, you can can, yes, you can can
Let you move me 'til your secret deep within

Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language
Shake your body, mighty body
It's body language...

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
