[Verse 1]
Every day you're away from me (My heart feels one beat lighter)
And every hour you're not holding me (I long to hold you tighter)

[Chorus]
Please don't make me cry no more
I've been waiting for you to come back to me and dry my eyes
Oh-oh, but if you come home, don't wait too long (Don't wait)
Don't wait 'til all my tears are gone
My eyes will dry up
My tears will go away

[Verse 2]
Every time you find someone new (My heart feels one beat lighter)
But every time I grow fonder of you (I long to hold you tighter)

[Chorus]
When you walk away, I, I wanted to say
If you walk out that door, don't you ever come back no more
Oh-oh, if I can be the one to say goodbye
I know you'd be the one to cry
My eyes will dry up
My tears will go away

[Instrumental Break]

[Chorus]
Woah, if you're coming home, don't wait too long
Don't wait 'til all my tears are gone
My eyes will dry up
My tears will go away
Hey!

[Outro]
(My tears will go away)
As much as I need you
(My tears will go away)
Don't you stop the flow of my tears, girl, please
(My tears will go away)
As much as I want you, girl
(My tears will go away)
Do not stop the flow of my tears
(My tears will go away)
They're gonna slip, they're gonna walk away
(My tears will go away)
Baby, I can see 'em walk out the door right now
(My tears will go away)
Goodbye, goodbye tears

The Righteous Brothers

The Righteous Brothers were a musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, hailing from Orange County, California. They were originally members of The Paramours but began performing as a duo in 1962 after breaking off from the group.

Their first hit track was “You’ve Lost That Lovin' Feelin” but they released many other hits during their career.

The duo was active through the 1960s and 70s, and after a long split, they reunited in 1981 and performed up until Hatfield’s death in 2003. In 2016, Medley reformed the group with Bucky Heard.
