[Verse 1]
I’m faded as a motherfucker right now
Lost in all the chaos and commotion now
Trying to find my head I see no way out
The only option left for me is up I’ve found
And I’m floating on some funny green cloud
Up until they all under my feet now
Got drunk, then we fucking made out
Nothing else to lose and it all came out

[Pre-Chorus 1]
I haven’t met a man who made me feel this in so long
And the way the walls are moving
Got me thinking that I’m way too gone
So I know I shouldn’t tell you, but it’s easy if it’s wrong
I love you

[Chorus]
So just in case we die
Let me see your soul
So I’ll know what to find (to find)
Wherever we go (we go)

[Verse 2]
I’m jaded as a motherfucker most years
Prayed that I’d escape before the smoke clears
Even though I chose to live with no fears
I know you’re not always gonna be here
I’m not dumb
Now I found you, now indeed
Time is running out
Says all the anchors and police
That’s why we tore the walls off all the buildings in the street
And found each other here with all this rubble at our feet

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Love me like you’ve never loved before
Just forget about the past it doesn’t matter anymore
I don’t care what happens to me now as long as I am yours
I love you

[Chorus]
So just in case we die
Let me see your soul
So I’ll know what to find (to find)
Wherever we go (we go)

[Post-Chorus]
Let me see it
Let me see it
Let me see it
Ooh-ooh-oh
Let me see it
Let me see it
Let me see it
Ooh-ooh-oh

[Outro]
(Ooh, just in case we die)
We got one more night
Like, one more night to party
One more night
Like, one more night to party
One more night
You got one more night beside me boy
One more night
ya got one more night inside me boy

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
