[Verse 1]
Say they love you when they don’t, shame
Say they different but they all just the same
Say they loyal, really want fame
I gave you love, you gave me your resentment

[Pre-Chorus]
You kept a card up your sleeve
You fell apart at the seams
Don’t wanna believe it, but I seen this all before
Gone as far as we can go
Calling it short

[Chorus]
Cut the loose ends or ya gonna be sorry
Spinning me round and it’s making me nauseous
Better be cautious
Better be cautious
Waking me up
Waking me up out my sleep
Hating me more every floor that I reach
Better be cautious
Better be cautious

[Verse 2]
No this all wasn’t by chance
Went along, but you ain’t have the same plans
Where was all my so-called fam
Made my calls, took my losses like a man

[Pre-Chorus]
You kept a card up your sleeve
You fell apart at the seams
Say they love you when they don’t
Guess I’ll say it if you won’t

[Chorus]
Cut the loose ends or ya gonna be sorry
Spinning me round and it’s making me nauseous
Better be cautious
Better be cautious
Waking me up
Waking me up out my sleep
Hating me more every floor that I reach
Better be cautious
Better be cautious

[Bridge]
I don’t know a soul with a perfect past
But once I leave you ‘lone, I won’t circle back
Don’t believe in 3rd, barely 2nd chance
That’s too dang—, that’s too dangerous
Now when I sleep I lock my door, open one eye
I need my peace, sometimes the smoke keeps me aligned
In yo face, they smile and laugh
But when you gone that shit don’t last

[Chorus]
Cut the loose ends or ya gonna be sorry
Spinning me round and it’s making me nauseous
Better be cautious
Better be cautious
Waking me up
Waking me up out my sleep
Hating me more every floor that I reach
Better be cautious
Better be cautious
