She got buttons with their names on it
The sounds, well, they tell you everything
And it all goes back again
And it all goes back again

I said victory at Monterey
She said, "Want you come down and play?"
That's sad, you didn't win anything
That's sad, victory at Monterey

Happy man, I got lost in you
Well, I'm always, always gonna find you
I'm so glad, now that I have you back
Happy, happy 'cause I know, it's true
Now that I have you back

I said victory at Monterey
She said, "Want you come down and play?"
That's sad, you didn't win anything
That's sad, victory at Monterey

I said victory at Monterey
She said, "Want you come down and play?"
That's sad, you didn't win anything
That's sad, victory at Monterey

Happy, happy 'cause I know it's true
I'm so glad now that I have you
Now that I have you back

Albert Hammond Jr.

Though best known as a guitarist and keyboardist for The Strokes, Hammond has also been performing periodic solo work since his 2006 debut album Yours To Keep.

Still a member of The Strokes despite the controversy surrounding and following their 2013 album Comedown Machine, Hammond began to gain more traction upon releasing his 2013 AHJ – EP under Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas‘ Cult Records Label.

Though still an official part of his bandmate’s label, he released his 2015 album Momentary Masters through Vagrant Records.
