[Intro]
Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah

[Verse 1]
Uh, I miss the way that forever used to look like
Get high, lay in bed, let the day fade away
You used to treat me like you really gave a fuck, that was nice
I couldn't take it back if I wanted, I'm just saying
Miss the way that forever used to feel like
Wonder why I'm over here, wonder why I ran away
You used to treat me like you really gave a fuck, that was nice
I wanna change the past, but you're never gonna stay
And you don't gotta cross that line
Your demons took 'em all like they mine, and it's clear

[Pre-Chorus]
It's been one hell of a year, and I'm still fucking here
You're holding back your tears 'cause your lashes took forever
Can you teach me how to love and show me how to die?
Forever isn't real, forever is a lie

[Chorus]
I'm still alive
I'm still fucking here
I'm still alive
And I'm still fucking here
I'm still here
If you need me, I'm still here

[Post-Chorus]
I'm still here (I'm still here)
Yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

[Verse 2]
I miss the way that forever used to look like
Get high, lay in bed, let the day fade away
You used to treat me like you really gave a fuck, that was nice
I couldn't take it back if I wanted, I'm just saying
Miss the way that forever used to feel like
Wonder why I'm over here, wonder why I ran away
You used to treat me like you really gave a fuck, that was nice
I wanna change the past, but you're never gonna stay (But you're never gonna stay)
(But you're never gonna stay, piss off)
But you're never gonna stay

[Outro]
It's been one hell of a year, and I'm still fucking here
You're holding back your tears 'cause your lashes took forever
Forever

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
