[Verse 1]
Take me to the limit, hold me down there
You say you love me, but you wouldn't dare
You're tryna make it easy, you know that I care
You say you love me, but you wouldn't dare

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, starry eyes, blurry eyes
Feeling so intoxicated
Worried eyes, I'm open wide
Take me so up and down

[Chorus]
And if you make me feel in love, then I'll blossom for you
If you make me open up, I'll tell only the truth
When your mouth is running dry
Your head high, hold on, baby
You ain't tried no drug like me
And if you make me feel in love, then I'll blossom for you
If you make me open up, I'll tell only the truth
When your mouth is running dry
Keep head high, hold on, baby
You ain't tried no drug like me

[Verse 2]
I can see you spinning around in your head
(There's a little ghost of us)
A little history of us in there (Oh)
And now we've finally got to the safe other side
(Something's coming over us)
Why would we risk it for another try?
(Another try, come alive)

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, starry eyes, blurry eyes
Feeling so intoxicated
Worried eyes, I'm open wide
Take me so up and down

[Chorus]
And if you make me feel in love, then I'll blossom for you
If you make me open up, I'll tell only the truth
When your mouth is running dry
Your head high, hold on, baby
You ain't tried no drug like me
And if you make me feel in love, then I'll blossom for you
If you make me open up, I'll tell only the truth
When your mouth is running dry
Keep head high, hold on, baby
You ain't tried no drug like me

[Bridge]
(You ain't tried no drug like me)
Oh, starry eyes, blurry eyes
Feeling so intoxicated
Worried eyes, I'm open wide
Take me so up and down

[Chorus]
And if you make me feel in love then I'll blossom for you (All for you)
If you make me open up, I'll tell only the truth (All for you)
When your mouth is running dry
Your head high, hold on, baby
You ain't tried no drug like me
And if you make me feel in love then I'll blossom for you (All for you)
If you make me open up, I'll tell only the truth (All for you)
When your mouth is running dry
Keep head high, hold on, baby
You ain't tried no drug like me

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Born in 1985, she first came to fame by finishing in third place on the TV show Canadian Idol. Shortly afterwards, she released her debut album, Tug Of War, including the Canadian top 40 singles “Tug Of War” and “Bucket.”

Three years later, she released the single “Call Me Maybe” and planned to follow it with what would have been her second album, Curiosity. However, after the song caught the ear of fellow Canadian, Justin Bieber, he referred her to his manager, Scooter Braun, which led to her signing an international deal with Interscope Records. Before long, it became one of 2012’s most enduring hits, racking up over a billion YouTube views and topping the charts in 21 countries, including the US and Canada. The aforementioned Curiosity album was cut down to EP length, and work continued on her eventual sophomore LP, Kiss. Released in September 2012, it also featured the Owl City collaboration “Good Time”, which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jepsen returned in March 2015 with “I Really Like You,” the lead single from her third studio album. The song received a more muted reception than her breakout hit–although it did reach #2 in the United Kingdom–and consequently, the album, E•MO•TION, failed to make a substantial impact chartwise. Despite this, the album drew in a new wave of fans with its more experimental and mature sound; such was the amount of praise among both the public and critics that a follow-up EP of album outtakes–E•MO• Side B–was released on the album’s first anniversary.
