[Verse 1: Jewel]
Another cracked black top, windin' road
The more I see, the less I know
Everything seems to be tearin' me apart
One minute, I'm up and the next I'm down
You got me so turned around
Got me runnin' through the dark

[Pre-Chorus: Jewel]
I wanna take it back to how we used to be
When I ran to you and you ran to me
With nothing in-between
You and me

[Chorus: Jewel]
Put your arms in mine, turn the lights down low
You and I in this place only we know
Look in my eyes, let the world fly by
While we keep dancing slow, oh, oh
While we keep dancing slow, oh, oh yeah

[Verse 2: Pat Monahan, Jewel & Pat Monahan]
Movin' pictures, speeding cars
Strange strangers chasin' shootin' stars
Runnin' too fast, nowhere to go
All the rust and the broken bells
The anger rose and the steeples fell
The altar of our love will still be there

[Pre-Chorus: Jewel]
If we take it back to how we used to be
When I ran to you and you ran to me
With nothing in-between
You and me

[Chorus: Jewel]
Put your hand in mine, turn the lights down low
You and I in this place only we know
Look in my eyes, let the world fly by
While we keep dancing slow (Dancing slow), oh
While we keep dancing slow (Dancing slow), oh, oh

[Instrumental Break]

[Pre-Chorus: Jewel]
We'll take it back to how we used to be
When I ran to you, when you ran to me
With nothing in-between
You and me

[Chorus: Jewel & Pat Monahan]
Put your arms in mine, turn the lights down low
You and I in this place only we know
Look in my eyes, let the world fly by
While we keep dancing slow, oh, oh
While we keep dancing slow, oh, oh
While we keep dancing slow, oh, oh
While we keep dancing slow, oh, oh
