She works real hard in an all night café
She says she loves her job
Wouldn't have it any other way

And he walks in wearin' cheap cologne
She says, "I'll take off early
If you'll take me home"

And he says
"Come on, honey, say you will
Jump on into my Coupe De Ville
There's a Mexico sunset standing still
Fall in love to the thrill of the grill"

His hair was slick and he was slicker
His touch was radioactive
And it made her shiver
And when he emptied his pockets
They were filled with champagne
He held out his hand
As he called out her name

And he said
"Come on honey say you will
Jump on into my Coupe De Ville
There's a Mexico sunset standing still
Fall in love to the thrill of the grill
Let's fall in love to the thrill of the grill"

Sideways, oh my God, I'm sideways
Half-crazed, I said I'm dizzy
Dazed and waylayed

The boss said, "Phyllis have you gone mad
Hon, you're the best short order that I ever had
Don't throw it all away on a one night fling
Ah, don't be a fool for a foolish thing"

So she tore off her apron
Threw down the pan
She said, "Buzz it boss
You just don't understand
I've waited all my life
To feel the thrill
To be carried away
On the thrill of the grill"

So come on honey yes I will
I'll jump on into your Coupe De Ville
There's a Mexico sunset standing still
Fall in love to the thrill of the grill

Come on honey yes I will
I'll jump on into your Coupe De Ville
There's a Mexico sunset standing still
Fall in love to the thrill of the grill
Let's fall in love to the thrill of the grill
