[Verse 1]
Way down where the sun shines hotter
Dog's on the porch
Gator's in the water
Way down, down in Alabama
Muddy Mississippi
Swampy Louisiana
We come up a little different 'round here

[Chorus]
We got a little dirt road dust runnin' through our blood
From a never heard of it hometown
I got a can't quit heart and some take it too far
And a whole lot of never back down
If you come around here, better bring it 'cause we're no doubt
Gonna put a little South on ya

[Verse 2]
We hold it down from Texas to Missouri
From the Arkansas Hollers
And the grass in Kentucky
To the blue skies in Carolina
Florida, Tennessee and Georgia
Come and find us
Man, we got it made down here

[Chorus]
We got a little dirt road dust runnin' through our blood
From a never heard of it hometown
I got a can't quit heart and some take it too far
And a whole lot of never back down
If you come around here, better bring it 'cause we're no doubt
Gonna put a little South on ya

[Instrumental Break / Guitar Solo]

[Chorus]
We got a little dirt road dust runnin' through our blood
From a never heard of it hometown
I got a can't quit heart and some take it too far
And a whole lot of never back down
If you come around here, better bring it 'cause we're no doubt
Gonna put a little South on ya

[Outro]
Gonna put a little South on ya

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Luke Combs has been a passionate vocalist and musician since a young age, having even performed a solo performance at Carnegie Hall while still in high school. After dabbling in country music during his time at Appalachian State University, he dropped out his senior year to pursue a music career.

In October 2016, Combs signed for Columbia Records Nashville. His first studio album This One’s For You was released in June 2017 and reached #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Country Albums Chart and #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums. This album was re-released with additional unreleased tracks in 2018.
