[Verse 1]
Something in the way he moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way he woos me

[Chorus]
I don't want to leave him now
You know I believe and how

[Verse 2]
Somewhere in his smile he knows (Oh, he knows)
That I don't need no other lover (Woah)
Something in his style that shows me

[Chorus]
I don't want to leave him now (I don't want to leave him now)
You know I believe and how

[Bridge]
You're asking me will my love grow
I don't know, I don't know (Oh, I don't know, don't know, don't know)
You stick around, now it may show
I don't know, I don't know

[Verse 3]
Something in the way he knows
(Something in the way he moves me)
And all I have to do is think of him
(Oh, it must mean something)
Something in the things she shows me

[Chorus]
I don't want to leave him now (Don't want to leave him now)
You know I believe and how

Something in the things she shows me

[Chorus]
I don't want to leave him now (Don't want to leave him now)
You know I believe and how

[Outro]
(You know it must mean something)
Oh, every day, every day of my life
(Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know, yeah)
(You know it must mean something)
Don't you, don't you, a-don't you know, don't you know
(Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know, yeah)
(You know it must mean something)
Woah, the man makes it appear, alright
(Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know, yeah)
(You know it must mean something)
A-don't you, a-don't you, a-don't you, don't you know, yeah
(Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know, yeah)
(You know it must mean something)
Oh oh, don't you know it's ...
(Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know, yeah)

Martha Reeves & The Vandellas

Martha Rose Reeves (July 18, 1941 -) was born in Eufaula, AL and is a retired American R&B and pop singer, and the lead singer in the Motown group, Martha and the Vandellas. That group recorded over a dozen hit singles in the 1960s.

Reeves learned to sing in her grandfather’s church and got her big break when she and her backups were chosen to sing backup on a 1963 Marvin Gaye record. They were almost immediately signed to a record deal, renamed “Martha and the Vandellas” and set to work recording hits. The group fell apart because of drug abuse and did their final performance in Detroit in 1972. One of their songs, “Nowhere to Run” got a second life in the 1987 Robin Williams movie, Good Morning Vietnam.

The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
