[Chorus]
I've waited, waited
Waited so long for you
To tell me, show me just what to do
I don't know what you're after, baby
But I do know just what you need

[Verse 1]
I've done, I've done everything I said I would
But you lied to me, baby, you lied every chance you could
I don't know just what you're after, baby
But I do know just what you need

[Verse 2]
And here's what it is
You need me to be there in your loving arms
And when the nights are cold, baby, I swear I'll keep you warm
When your friends are few and you don't know exactly what to do
Call on sister, baby, and I'll come see about you

[Chorus]
Oh, because I've waited, waited
Lord, I've waited and waited so long for you
Just to show me, give me some kind of sign
Of what you gonna do
You ain't gonna worry my life away, baby
'Cause you're gonna be mine, yes, you are, oh, one day

[Verse 3]
You need me to be there in your loving arms
And when the nights get kinda chilly, baby, I swear I'll keep you so warm
And when your friends are few, and you don't know exactly what to do
Call on me, baby, and I'll come see about you

[Chorus]
I've done, I've done, I've done, I've done
I've done everything I said I would
But you lied, you prevaricated, baby, every chance you could
Oh, but you're not gonna worry my sweet life away, no, no, no, no
'Cause you're gonna be mine one day

[Outro]
Listen, you're gonna be mine (Be mine)
Be mine (Be mine), be mine (Be mine), be mine (Be mine)
One day (One day), one day (One day), one, one day (One day)
And I ain't gonna worry (Worry), worry (Worry), worry (Worry), worry (Worry)
My life away (My life away), my life away (My life away), my life away (My life away)
You ain't gonna worry (Worry), worry (Worry), worry (Worry), worry (Worry)
My life away (My life away), my life away (My life away), my life away (My life away)
You're gonna be mine (Be mine)
Be mine (Be mine), be mine (Be mine), be mine (Be mine)
One day (One day), one day (One day), one, one day (One day)
And don't worry (Worry), don't you dare worry (Worry)
