[Intro]
Dum, dum, da-da-dum, dum, dum, dum, dum

[Verse 1]
Tell me what I can say and I can say it
Tell me what I can do and I can do my best
Tell me who I should be and I can change it (And I can change it)
Say the things that you need and I can give 'em
Say the things that you want and I can try my best
Say your feelings to me so I won't overthink mine

[Chorus]
If I could read your mind
I'd save a lot of time 'cause
I've been spending all my time
Sitting by the phone just waiting for a call
I used to wanna be alone
'Til your name was in my phone
Now I'm getting kinda used to you

[Post-Chorus]
Dum, dum, da-da-dum, dum, dum, dum, dum
I'm getting kinda used to you
Dum, dum, da-da-dum, dum, dum, dum, dum

[Verse 2]
If I say I love you more
I'm afraid that it'd mean less
But if I don't say it enough
Will you still remember it?
If I say I love you more (You more)
I'm afraid that it'd mean less
But if I don't say it enough (Enough)
Will you still remember it?

[Chorus]
If I could read your mind
I'd save a lot of time 'cause
I've been spending all my time
Sitting by the phone just waiting for a call
I used to wanna be alone
'Til your name was in my phone
Now I'm getting kinda used to you

[Post-Chorus]
If I say I love you more
I'm afraid that it'd mean less (I'm getting kinda used to you)
But if I don't say it enough
Will you still remember it? (I'm getting kinda used to you)
If I say I love you more (I've been spending all my time)
I'm afraid that it'd mean less (Sitting by the phone just waiting for a call; I'm getting kinda used to you)
But if I don't say it enough (I used to wanna be alone 'til your name was in my phone)
Will you still remember it? (Now I'm getting kinda used to you)

[Outro]
Dum, dum, da-da-dum, dum, dum, dum, dum
Dum, dum, da-da-dum, dum, dum, dum, dum

mxmtoon

mxmtoon (pronounced em-ex-em-toon) is the moniker of Maia (born July 9, 2000), an Oakland-based singer, songwriter, and ukulele player. mxmtoon has a considerable online following, amounting to the hundreds of thousands, and successfully links conceptually relatable songs with goofy, self-deprecating music videos, of which evoke emotions across the gamut—everything from belly-laughing to weeping. She carries a persona that can be described as passionate, genuine, and warm; a friend who can be relied on through even the most emotionally challenging of times.

mxmtoon covers a wide range of conceptual themes in her music; such themes include matters regarding friendship, romance, body confidence, identity and teenage insecurities. She often uses a ukulele for accompaniment and has a distinctly unique musical sound characterized by elements of indie and bedroom pop, as well as slightly laconic lyrical delivery and sometimes unconventional melodic constructs. This style shined all throughout her debut EP plum blossom, which was recorded from the confines of her parents' guest room, and was released on December 7, 2018.

Nine months later, the Cavetown produced effort that was her debut full-length album the masquerade was released in September 17, 2019, followed by dawn and dusk in April 22, 2020 and October 1, 2020 respectively, with the latter two later being integrated into dawn & dusk, which was released on November 5, 2020.
