[Intro]
Oh oh yeah
Oh oh yeah
Oh oh yeah
Oh oh yeah

[Verse 1]
I hear 'em tell me that they love the music (Well, well well)
And even how some of the songs has gotten them through (Yeah)
And through the years I've heard nothin' but "Keep doin' it" (Oh yeah)
They even say to me "I've got kids 'cause of you"

[Pre-Chorus]
Well, here's to all the '90s babies
Single mothers or daddy's maybes
Whether rich or whether poor
This who this song is for

[Chorus]
'Cause I know that you were (Born to my music)
Oh, wherever, whoever you are, you were (Born to my music)
Oh, generations, populations, you were (Born to my music)
And it's such a blessing
Thank you, heaven (Born to my music)

[Verse 2]
Oh, I've heard 'em tell me, "Boy, you are gifted" (Oh)
And some have even said "Your music's uplifting" (Yeah)
I heard people say that "Come what may, you are the King" (Yeah)
And it feels so good to hear them say "Your music has touched me"

[Pre-Chorus]
Well, here's to all the '90s babies
Single mothers or daddy's maybes
Whether rich or whether poor
This who this song is for

[Chorus]
'Cause I know that you were (Born to my music)
Oh wherever, whoever you are, you were (Born to my music)
Oh, generations, populations, you were (Born to my music)
And it's such a blessing
Thank you, heaven (Born to my)

[Bridge]
People tell me "Thank you for the memories you've given me"
And I just say it's, "My pleasure", yeah
"Robert Kelly, what you've done for music has made history"
"Your music is forever"
So to all of my loyal fans
I thank y'all for the dance
I feel so blessed to be a part of all of y'all memories
So thankful to be a part of touching the whole world's heart

[Chorus]
At least, those of who are (Born to my music)
And I'm so grateful (Born to my music)
To know that so many were (Born to my music)
And it puts a joy down in my soul (Born to my music)
To know that, you are (Born to my music)
You are (Born to my music)
You were, aye (Born to my music)
You were (Born to my music)
Yes, you were (Born to my music)
Born to my music
I thank God for the music (Born to my music)
Born to my music
And it feels good to know that you were
Born to my music, oh (Born to my music)
Born to my music, whoa (Born to my music)
Born to my music, whoa (Born to my music)

R. Kelly

Robert Kelly is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, where he first started performing under the “L” subway tracks as a teenager. This led into his first album, Born Into the 90’s, being released in 1992 as a collaboration between R. Kelly and Public Announcement. R. Kelly wrote and produced the entire album, which contained the #1 R&B hits “Honey Love” and “Slow Dance,” along with the Top 10 R&B hits “She’s Got That Vibe” (#7) and “Dedicated” (#9). The following year, Kelly went on to become a solo act.

In 1993, he released his first solo album, 12 Play, featuring the hits “Bump N' Grind” and “Your Body’s Callin'.” He released a self-titled album in 1995 featuring the hits “Down Low (Nobody Has To Know)” and “You Remind Me of Something,” while his 1998 double album, R., featured a string of hits, including “I Am Your Angel” with Celine Dion, “When a Woman’s Fed Up,” and his Grammy Award-winning song “I Believe I Can Fly” from the Space Jam soundtrack.
