And making sure
That you get love in each and every way (Stone cold)

My mama told me to remember, boy
She says a woman is your pride and joy
(Your pride and joy)
And that's why I treat you with seniority
A gentleman is what I strive to bе

[Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
I'm a stone cold gentleman
I do all that I can (Stonе cold)
Give my heart, my charm, my personality (Stone cold)
I'm a stone cold gentleman
So, girl, just take my hand (Stone cold)
'Cause you've been missing out on what is chivalry, yeah (Stone cold)
Stone cold gentleman (Stone cold)

Baby, don't mind giving, no (Stone cold)

To treat you nice, day and night
Oh baby, just say the word (Stone cold)

[Pre-Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
And I will open every door for you (Stone cold)
Send you letters and some sweet perfume (Stone cold)

[Bridge: Ralph Tresvant]
I'll open doors for you (Stone cold)
Send you some sweet perfume (Stone cold)
(Some sweet perfume)
I'd call you, baby, don't you know? (Stone cold)
Oh, I'd do special things 'cause I want you to know (Stone cold)
Here we go (Yeah), come on (Say what?)
Here we go (What?), come on

[Verse 3: Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown]
I'm a stone cold gentleman but I
But I don't like a girl that tries to get too fly
Remember that day I spoke, you kept walking
Pulled up in the Benz today and you was hawking my boys
And all of a sudden you started giving the rhythm up
It's plain to see you're just out for the Benjamins
(Yo, Rizz, ain't she the weapon that stepped at the high hat?)
Yeah B, and I ain't even tryna go out like that

[Bridge: Ralph Tresvant]
Baby, I'm cold (Stone cold gentleman) (Stone cold)
Give my heart, my charm, my personality (Stone cold)
(Stone cold gentleman) (Stone cold)
You've been missing out on what is chivalry (Stone cold)
(Stone cold gentleman) (Stone cold)
Give my heart, my charm, my personality (Stone cold)
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
(Stone cold gentleman) (Stone cold)
You've been missing out on what is chivalry (Stone cold)
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
(Stone cold) Uh
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
Uh (Stone cold), uh
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
Uh (Stone cold), uh
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)

Ralph Tresvant

Ralph Tresvant is the lead singer for the multi-platinum R&B group New Edition. Their first album Candy Girl was released in 1983. Following the departure of Bobby Brown in 1985 and the 1986 cover album Under the Blue Moon, Ralph was considering going solo as the direction of the group was in question. After Johnny Gill was added to the group in 1987, Ralph reconsidered and New Edition went on to release their most popular album Heart Break in 1988.

Ralph did end up going solo as the group took a break and he released his self-titled album in 1990, which yielded the #1 R&B hit “Sensitivity.” He went on to release two more solo albums–It’s Goin' Down in 1993 and Rizz-Wa-Faire in 2006–as well as two more New Edition albums in 1996 (Home Again) and 2004 (One Love). New Edition continues to tour and Ralph also began touring in 2008 with Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill as the Heads of State.
