[Intro: Ralph Tresvant]
Uh
Stone to the bone, baby, yeah
Who's the mack?
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)

[Verse 1: Ralph Tresvant]
Am I
What you're missing?
The kind of guy
Who gives you a dozen roses every day
Shower you
With hugs and kisses
And making sure
That you get love in each and every way

[Pre-Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
My mama told me to remember, boy
She says a woman is your pride and joy
(Your pride and joy)
And that's why I treat you with seniority
A gentleman is what I strive to be

[Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
I'm a stone cold gentleman
I do all that I can
Give my heart, my charm, my personality
I'm a stone cold gentleman
So, girl, just take my hand
'Cause you've been missing out on what is chivalry, yeah
Stone cold gentleman
Ah, baby
Stone cold
Baby, I'm stone cold

[Post-Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
Here we go (Yeah), come on (Say what?)
Here we go (What?), come on

[Verse 2: Ralph Tresvant]
Now I
Baby, don't mind giving, no
Giving you the kind of love
That I know you deserve
'Cause I'll be there, yeah, 24/7
To treat you nice, day and night
Oh baby, just say the word

[Pre-Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
And I will open every door for you
Send you letters and some sweet perfume
(Some sweet perfume)
I'll call you up to say I love you so
I'd do special things 'cause I want you to know

[Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
I'm a stone cold gentleman
I do all that I can (I'll give you my heart)
Give my heart, my charm (My charm), my personality
(My personality)
I'm a stone cold gentleman
(I don't mind giving, what you've been missing)
You've been missing out on what is chivalry
(On what is chivalry)
I'm a stone cold gentleman
(And I'll treat you right)
Give my heart, my charm (My charm), my personality
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
'Cause baby I'm stone cold

[Interlude: Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant]
She kinda got a future behind her
She got a lotta future behind her
Big, bright future behind her, you know it
(I'll treat you right, all day and night)
Hey, excuse me
Excuse me, baby

[Bridge: Ralph Tresvant]
I'll open doors for you
Send you some sweet perfume
(Some sweet perfume)
I'd call you, baby, don't you know?
Oh, I'd do special things 'cause I want you to know
Here we go, come on
Here we go, come on

[Verse 3: Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown]
I'm a stone cold gentleman but I
But I don't like a girl that tries to get too fly
Remember that day I spoke, you kept walking
Pulled up in the Benz today and you was hawking my boys
And all of a sudden you started giving the rhythm up
It's plain to see you're just out for the Benjamins
(Yo, Rizz, ain't she the weapon that stepped at the high hat?)
Yeah B, and I ain't even tryna go out like that

[Bridge: Ralph Tresvant]
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
Baby, I'm not, no casanova
But I'll give you my heart, I'll give you my charm
Baby, I'm a gentleman
And I'm not, tryna win ya over, nah
Just give me your hand, I'll do what I can
'Cause baby I'm stone cold

[Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
I'm a stone cold gentleman
I do all that I can
Give my heart, my charm, my personality
I'm a stone cold gentleman
So, girl, just take my hand
'Cause you've been missing out on what is chivalry

[Bridge: Ralph Tresvant]
Baby, I'm cold
Ah, sugar, I'm cold
Ah, I'm gonna treat you nice day and night, day and night, baby
Baby, say the word
And I'll be right there
Ooh, I'm gonna open every door for you (Stone cold)
Just for you, baby (Baby, I'm stone cold)

[Chorus: Ralph Tresvant]
I'm a stone cold gentleman
I do all that I can
Give my heart, my charm, my personality
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)
I'm a stone cold gentleman
So, girl, just take my hand
'Cause you've been missing out on what is chivalry
(Stone cold, baby, I'm stone cold)

[Outro: Ralph Tresvant]
I'm a stone cold gentleman
(I'll treat you right, all day and night)
(Baby, I'm stone cold)
I'm a stone cold gentleman
(I'll treat you right, all day and night)
(Baby, I'm stone cold)

Ralph Tresvant

Ralph Tresvant is the lead singer for the multi-platinum R&B group New Edition. Their first album Candy Girl was released in 1983. Following the departure of Bobby Brown in 1985 and the 1986 cover album Under the Blue Moon, Ralph was considering going solo as the direction of the group was in question. After Johnny Gill was added to the group in 1987, Ralph reconsidered and New Edition went on to release their most popular album Heart Break in 1988.

Ralph did end up going solo as the group took a break and he released his self-titled album in 1990, which yielded the #1 R&B hit “Sensitivity.” He went on to release two more solo albums–It’s Goin' Down in 1993 and Rizz-Wa-Faire in 2006–as well as two more New Edition albums in 1996 (Home Again) and 2004 (One Love). New Edition continues to tour and Ralph also began touring in 2008 with Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill as the Heads of State.
