You used to celebrate it
When I came in at 6:00 AM
Ooh babe, I could never really fake it
'Cause I was in love again

Love don't prove
Love don't prove I'm right
Love don't prove
Love don't prove

You used to sing and shout it
Showing me what you got
Ooh babe, I could never really doubt it
'Cause, baby, you got such a lot

Love don't prove
Love don't prove I'm right, no no
Love don't prove
Love don't prove

Ooh, you used to celebrate
Ooh, now you'll have to wait
You're gonna wait, yeah

Love don't prove
Love don't prove I'm right, no no no no no no
Love don't prove
Love don't prove

If you need a hand to guide you
Let me be your northern light
You could give me all of your lovin'
And I'll make everything alright

Love don't prove
Love don't prove I'm right, no no no
Love don't prove
Love don't prove I'm right, whoo
Love don't prove
Love don't prove that I'm right, no no no no
Oh yeah

The Babys

The Babys are a British rock band most famous for their hit songs “Every Time I Think of You” and “Isn’t it Time”. The band featured vocalist John Waite, and future Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain.

The band’s name was originally a joke that stuck. According to Waite:

We took the name simply because the record companies wouldn’t listen to any bands they thought were rock & roll. I mean, they wanted sure-fire teen bands, pre-teen bands. We couldn’t get anybody down to hear us to get a record deal, so we called ourselves The Babys. We thought we’d keep the name just for two weeks. Then, the word got around in London that there was a band playing rock & roll called The Babys and it seemed so off the wall, so completely crazy, that it was worth taking a shot with. It really appealed to everyone’s sense of humor.
