[Chorus: Tony Thompson & Faith Evans]
Baby, I know
You don’t have to say a thing
And I know
All the pain that I bring
And I know
That you still care for me
Yes, I know

[Verse 1: Tony Thompson & (Faith Evans)]
If I had you next to me
Then maybe you can tell me (Tell me why)
All I do is sit around with thoughts of you
Lingering on my mind (Baby, you’re lingering)
Since you’ve been gone from my life (My life)
Lady, I need a change (A change, oh yeah)
Just one night is all I need
To make up for all of the pain
‘Cause baby I know

[Chorus: Tony Thompson & (Faith Evans)]
Baby, I know
You don’t have to say a thing
And I know
All the pain that I bring
And I know
That you still care for me
Yes, I know

[Verse 2: Tony Thompson & (Faith Evans)]
Lady, my heart won’t lie to you
I’ve made mistakes in the past
But that was back in the days we were young (Back in the day)
So let’s build a love that will last
I’ve been waiting to lay you down (Lay you down)
Cover your body with me (Oh, baby)
I understand you have some fears
But think of how things used to be
‘Cause baby I know

[Chorus: Tony Thompson & Faith Evans]
Baby, I know
You don’t have to say a thing
And I know
All the pain that I bring
And I know
That you still care for me
Yes, I know

[Bridge: Tony Thompson & (Faith Evans)]
I know I did you wrong
But I need you desperately (So much, I want ya)
Gave you the reason to want me back
So won’t you give it to me

[Chorus: Tony Thompson & Faith Evans]
Baby, I know
You don’t have to say a thing
And I know
All the pain that I bring
And I know
That you still care for me
Yes, I know

Baby, I know, know...

Baby, I know
You don’t have to say a thing
And I know
All the pain that I bring
And I know
That you still care for me
Yes, I know

Ooh yeah, I know
Baby, I know
I know
Yeah

Tony Thompson

Tony Thompson (September 2, 1975 – June 1, 2007) was the lead singer of the Waco, Texas-based R&B quintet Hi-Five. The group was signed to Jive Records in 1990 and produced a number of successful singles with the most popular being “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)” from their debut self-titled album. The song reached number one on both the U.S. R&B Chart and the Billboard Hot 100. The group would go on to release two more albums–1992’s Keep It Goin' On and 1993’s Faithful–before disbanding in 1994.

Tony went on to record his debut solo album Sexsational for Giant Records in 1994 and released the album on June 23, 1995. The first single “I Wanna Love Like That”, which peaked at #14 on the U.S. R&B chart, was written by Babyface and featured production from Teddy Riley. The album featured contributions from a number of R&B stars including Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, Al B. Sure!, Dave Hollister, Missy Elliott and DeVante Swing of Jodeci. The album peaked at #17 on the U.S. R&B Albums chart.

Thompson was briefly signed to Bad Boy Records to work on a solo sophomore release but nothing materialized. He re-formed Hi-Five with four new members to release an album in 2005 but three of the original group members filed a cease-and-desist order on the project.
