[Verse 1]
I know it's cold, but it's not freezing
And I know you're tired, but you're not sleeping
Don't close your eyes 'cause your heart's still beating
And down, together we'll fall
Together we'll fall, together we'll fall

[Verse 2]
I know it's dark, but you can see me
The air is thin, but you're still breathing
Not in your lungs, but your mind's believing
And down, together we'll fall, together we'll fall

[Chorus]
You've been standing on your own for far too long
For too long, for too long, for too long
And you never found the faith to just move on
To move on, to move on, to move on
And deep within your heart, I see the light
Shouting to break through
And everything I know tells me it's right
And I will fall with you

[Verse 3]
And from the night, there comes a new dawn
And from the fire, bring to life
Rise from the ashes, there's no surrender
And down, together we'll fall
Together we'll fall, together we'll fall

[Chorus]
You've been standing on your own for far too long
For too long, for too long, for too long
And you never found the faith to just move on
To move on, to move on, to move on
And deep within your heart, I see the light
Shouting to break through
And everything I know tells me it's right
And I will fall with you

[Instrumental break]

[Chorus]
You've been standing on your own for far too long
For too long, for too long, for too long
And you never found the faith to just move on
To move on, to move on, to move on
And deep within your heart, I see the light
Shouting to break through
And everything I know tells me it's right
And I will fall with you

Alec Benjamin

After getting dropped by Columbia Records at 18 years old, singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin built a following by playing in parking lots outside of Shawn Mendes and Troye Sivan concerts. The Phoenix, Arizona native caught the attention of Jon Bellion, earning a songwriting credit on Bellion’s debut album and later joined him on tour.

To build on the momentum, Benjamin began uploading new songs to his YouTube channel at a rapid clip and eventually earned on a viral hit with “I Built a Friend” and a deal with Atlantic Records.

Benjamin connects to listeners by incorporating using his life struggles to tell stories and give meaning to his songs. You can see this in “Let Me Down Slowly,” “Paper Crown,” “I Built a Friend,” “Death of a Hero,” and “If We Have Each Other.”
