Songwriter: Bebe Rexha

[Intro: Speech]
The newer ones on the radio play in the long run
Depends upon three things: intelligent listening
Informed criticism, and good writing for microphones

[Verse 1]
I wrote a happy song, I tried to sing along
But I was faking it, yeah, I was faking it
I put some make-up on to turn myself on
But I was faking it, I'm really good at it

[Pre-Chorus]
And oh
It's killing me, killing me
(It's killing me, killing me)

[Chorus]
Don't wanna be sad anymore, can I get ten minutes?
Don't wanna keep dwelling in it, ten minutes on the dance floor
Don't wanna be sad anymore, can I get ten minutes?
Don't wanna keep dwelling in it, ten minutes on the dance floor
These tears keep on falling, but I like the taste
Give me a moment to wipe off my face

[Post-Chorus]
Don't wanna be sad anymore, can I get ten minutes?
Don't wanna keep dwelling in it, ten minutes on the dance floor

[Verse 2]
I dragged myself out, just so I could get out
But I regret it now, yeah, I regret it now
'Cause everybody here is smiling ear to ear
I tried to play along, but it just feels so wrong

[Outro]
Don't wanna be sad anymore, can I get ten minutes?
Don't wanna keep dwelling in it, ten minutes on the dance floor
