[Verse 1]
Matches, used to get so distracted
Lightnin' up all this madness
Made to feel I'm average at this
Lonely, hopin' that God might hold me
Put His arms 'round me, slowly
No one never told me

[Pre-Chorus]
I used to give up the fight
Now I'm not scared anymore

[Chorus]
I could set the world on fire, no matches
I could change the world lyin' on this mattress
I could tip the world right off its axis
Don't you know
I could set the world on fire, no

[Verse 2]
Matches, strike it up 'til were ashes
No more tears on these lashes
Now I'm more than average, standin'
Taller, I couldn't feel any taller
You could stand on my shoulders
Don't know if I told ya

[Pre-Chorus]
I used to give up the fight
Now I'm not scared anymore

[Chorus]
I could set the world on fire, no matches
I could change the world lyin' on this mattress
I could tip the world right off its axis
Don't you know
I could set the world on fire, no

[Bridge]
Matches, lightnin' up all that darkness
Feelin' awful, not hopeless
Knowin' that it's all worth it
Can't believe that

[Pre-Chorus]
I used to give up the fight
But now I'm ready for more

[Chorus]
I could set the world on fire, no matches
I could change the world lyin' on this mattress
I could tip the world right off its axis
Don't you know
I could set the world on fire, no matches
