[Verse 1]
I was a fiend for the coke
Sniffin' dreams up my nose
But I'm off that now
I was a liar and a thief
Had opinions and beliefs
But I'm off that now

[Verse 2]
I was a lover and a friend
Never worried 'bout the ends
But I'm off that shit right now
I was in love, I was in lust
I was a lover you could trust
But I'm off that shit right now, yeah

[Verse 3]
I was the one to tell the truth
Keep it real and disapprove
But I'm off that now, oh
I was a slave to the lean
Couldn't feel, couldn't see
But I'm off that shit right now

[Hook]
Sometimes I wanna die
I don't care if it's sad, I want to die
Take all my money out the ATM and start a little bonfire
Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn all night
And if I die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take
Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn, let it burn all night
And if I die before I wake up
I pray to God there's whiskey and a chaser

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
