[Verse 1]
I might say sorry way too much
Unnecessarily nervous
I feel every damn thing again
The sound of your name like a cut

[Pre-Chorus]
I tried to hold the pieces inside
The tighter I held it, cut like a knife
Blood from our oath falls on your hands, not mine
I used to laugh, just like a child
I feel okay, just for a while, yeah
Then I realized

[Chorus]
All I'm left with is this scar tissue
Battle wounds after surviving you (oh)
I’m left with all the bruises, excuses
The truth is: trying to restart, that's the hardest part
The scar tissue

[Post-Chorus]
Ooh, ooh, ooh
The scar tissue
Ooh, ooh, ooh
That's the hardest part
The scar tissue

[Verse 2]
Secretly dangerous
The hurt that you’re capable of
I couldn't see you coming if I tried
You pull the trigger and hide

[Pre-Chorus]
I tried to hold the pieces inside
The tighter I held it, cut like a knife
Blood from our oath falls on your hands, not mine
I used to laugh, just like a child
I feel okay, just for a while, yeah
Then I realized

[Chorus]
All I'm left with is this scar tissue
Battle wounds after surviving you (oh)
I'm left with all the bruises, excuses
The truth is: trying to restart, that's the hardest part
The scar tissue

[Post-Chorus]
Ooh, ooh, ooh
The scar tissue
Ooh, ooh, ooh
That's the hardest part
The scar tissue

[Verse 3]
Dealing with the scar tissue
Everything you put me through, na na na yeah
Dealing with the scar tissue
Everything you put me through, na na na yeah
Dealing with the scar tissue
Everything you put me through, na na na yeah
Dealing with the scar tissue
Dealing with the scar tissue

[Bridge]
Oh, I'm not okay
But I'm getting closer to it everyday
Closer and closer ’til you fade away
All I’m left with is the scar tissue
Yeah, that's the hardest part
The scar tissue

[Post-Bridge]
(All the scars, ooh, ooh, ooh)
The scar tissue, ooh, ooh, ooh
(I’m going home, I'm trying)
That's the hardest part
The scar tissue

[Outro]
I'm going home, I’m trying (na na na yeah)
I'm trying (na na na yeah)
I'm going home, I'm trying (na na na yeah)
I'm trying

Camila Cabello

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is a Cuban-American singer born on March 3, 1997, in Cojímar, Havana, Cuba. For the first five years of her life, Cabello lived in Cuba and Mexico before relocating to Miami, Florida. Cabello dropped out of her 2012/13 high school year to pursue a career in singing (although she did receive her diploma). For her quinceanera, Camila asked her parents to drive her to North Carolina, so she could audition for the second season of The X Factor US. Barely making it into the competition, she was granted an “alternate” role who was only able to audition if they had time. Eventually, she along with Dinah Jane Hansen, Ally Brooke Hernandez, Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei were tapped to form multi-platinum girl group, Fifth Harmony. The collective released many chart-toppers with the highest being “Work From Home” peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

During this time, Cabello collaborated with Canadian artist Shawn Mendes on “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” as well as American rapper Machine Gun Kelly on “Bad Things,” which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

She remained part of the group until the 19th of December 2016, where the four remaining members announced via their official Twitter account that Camila had decided to leave the group to pursue a solo career. Camila then confirmed this by posting a statement on her Twitter account.
