Songwriter: David Paul Bryant Diane Warren

I was losing patience facing another lonely night
Then you brought some love into my life
In a world of strangers, no one to share my love
Yes, you got the message from someone I found

'Cause when you hold me
I get a pounding in my heart
I hear a voice in the night
Telling me that there'd be

One less lonely heart in the world
One less lonely heart, that's for sure
There'll be one less lonely heart
With you in my life
One more reason to smile again
One more look in your eyes and then
There'll be one less lonely heart
In the world tonight
In the world tonight

Angels must be smiling
Knowing I found someone like you
I'm happy to be seeing a change coming through
So wrap your arms around me
Tell me this love is here to stay
Boy, I never knew love could feel this way

'Cause when you hold me
I get a pounding in my heart
And there's a voice in the night
Telling me that there'd be

One less lonely heart in the world
One less lonely heart, that's for sure
(Oh, yeah)
There'll be one less lonely heart
With you in my life, oh...
One more reason to smile again
One more look in your eyes and then
There'll be one less lonely heart
In the world tonight

'Cause when you hold me
I get a pounding in my heart
And there's a voice in the night
Telling me that there'd be

One less lonely heart in the world
One less lonely heart, that's for sure
There'll be one less lonely heart
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...
One more reason to smile again
One more look in your eyes and then
There'll be one less lonely heart
In the world tonight
In the world tonight

One less lonely heart in the world
(Well, the angels are smiling, yeah)
One less lonely heart, that's for sure
(Uh-huh)
There'll be one less lonely heart
With you in my life
One more reason to smile again
One more look in your eyes and then
(Mm-hmm)
There'll be one less lonely heart
In the world tonight
