If you could only read my mind
You could see how much I've needed you, mmm...
If we only took our time with love
Instead of rushing through, yeah
What's good about goodbye
When you know we ought to stay together
(Know we ought to last forever)
There's still too much to give
Don't let go, don't give up

It's not water under the bridge
When these tears that I've cried
Are not even dried
It's not water under the bridge
We've got the rest of our lives
If you don't leave tonight

Oh, you can turn and just walk away
But, darling, if you stay
It's not water under the bridge

Whoa, whoa, whoa-oh...

Sometimes I forget
What it is I really love about you, mmm...
But deep inside, I know
I couldn't live a day without you, no, no, no
Why can't we talk it out
You and me, stay up in behind those walls
(Saying that it's all your fault)
Don't tell me that we're through
We can still have it all

It's not water under the bridge
When these tears that I've cried
Are not even dried
It's not water under the bridge
We've got the rest of our lives
If you don't leave tonight

Oh, you can turn and just walk away
But, darling, if you stay
It's not water under the bridge

Water under the bridge
When these tears that I've cried
Are not even dried
It's not water under the bridge
We've got the rest of our lives
If you don't leave tonight, darling

Water under the bridge
Know we ought to stay together
Know we ought to last forever
(Water under the bridge)

Water under the bridge
You can turn and just walk away
But, darling, if you stay, I tell you
It's not water under the bridge...
