There was a time, a place, a way forward
There was a prize to shoot for
I crossed the line, now life overwhelms me
Somewhere back there is a line
You have to listen to all my stories
I disappear without saying goodbye
Happens every time

You've been homeless, down and out and hopeless
Now you find yourself evicted from your hell
If you're drifting tonight
There's still some room in heaven

There was a girl, a job, a home for me
There was a dream that we shared
I sabotaged the good I got going
Throw it away, I don't care
I make you suffer things that they give me
I can't afford what they sell in here
Gonna go somewhere

You've been wronged some, you've been rightly lonesome
Now you find yourself kicked out of your hell
If you're travelling tonight
There's still some room in heaven

You've been wronged some, you've been rightly lonesome
Now you find yourself kicked out of your hell
If you're falling tonight
There's still some room in heaven
If you're falling tonight
There's still some room in heaven

Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms is an American rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, “Hey Jealousy”. “Hey Jealousy” became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and New Miserable Experience eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. The band’s follow-up album, Congratulations I’m Sorry (1996), went platinum and the single “As Long as It Matters” was nominated for a Grammy Award. Gin Blossoms broke up in 1997. Since reuniting in 2001, the band has released Major Lodge Victory in 2006, No Chocolate Cake in 2010, and Mixed Reality in 2018.
