When you're young and beautiful
The world is open wide
Your pocket's empty, dreams are big
Another endless night
How could we know years ago
That time would go so fast
Our plans are more like fairytales
They're never meant to last

It calls to me
It won't let me sleep

I wonder where you are
I wonder where you are
I wonder why
I wonder where you are

I've had my troubles, big and small
The winters roll on by
The magic days so long ago
Never cross my mind
Out of the blue I hear the strains
Of some old mournful song
I feel your presence on the breeze
And then it's all but gone

It calls to me
It won't let me sleep

I wonder where you are
I wonder where you are
I wonder why
I wonder where you are

I wonder if you're safe and warm and happy
I wonder if you think of me at all

I wonder where you are
I wonder where you are
I wonder why
I wonder where you are

I wonder where you are
I wonder where you are
I wonder why
I wonder where you are

Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms is an American rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, “Hey Jealousy”. “Hey Jealousy” became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and New Miserable Experience eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. The band’s follow-up album, Congratulations I’m Sorry (1996), went platinum and the single “As Long as It Matters” was nominated for a Grammy Award. Gin Blossoms broke up in 1997. Since reuniting in 2001, the band has released Major Lodge Victory in 2006, No Chocolate Cake in 2010, and Mixed Reality in 2018.
