I'm a soul surviving
Love give me all or nothing
I used to wake in the morning and say
Can I get through another day
Look around, I see everybody's running
Trying too hard to make the money
But we forgot to the taste of honey
Oh babe, can we lose the confusion

Let Love Take Control
Sweet Soul got a hold on me
Let Love Take Control
Sweet soul got a hold on me

Little things can get you down
Getting caught up in the run around
Gotta live in the here and now
Oh babe, gotta lose the confusion

Let Love Take Control
Sweet Soul got a hold on me
Let Love Take Control
Sweet soul got a hold on me

You can't control your destiny
Love laughs at all your plans
Just let love show you what you need
You know I understand
Don't let the weight lay too heavy on you
Gotta let it go, hold onto that sweet, sweet soul

Let Love Take Control
Sweet Soul got a hold on me
Let Love Take Control
Sweet soul got a hold on me

Hall & Oates

Hall & Oates released the first of their 18 albums in 1972 on Atlantic Records. They would go on to sell 13 million albums and 6 million singles primarily during the 70’s and 80’s when they recorded their most prolific and profound music. They blended rock, jazz, soul, and pop create a genre they titled rock and soul.

While their technical musicianship, innovative songwriting styles, and popular live performances were praised, they also had a fruitful partnership with their manager Tommy Mottola, who was helped Hall & Oates break into music videos before they were popular and made profitable financial deals by helping them get on the ground level of and corporate sponsorship of tours. Hall & Oates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
