Rock steady baby
That's what I feel now
Let's call this song exactly what it is

Just whip your head
With a feelin' from side to side
Sit yourself down in your car
And take a ride
And while you're movin'
Rock steady
Rock steady baby
Let's call this song exactly what it is
(What it is, what it is, what it is)

It's a funky and low down feelin'
(What it is)
Move your hips from left to right
(What it is)
What it is
Is I might be doin'
(What it is)
This funky dance all night

Can you throw
(Put your hands up in the air)
Oh
(What a feelin', ain't got a care)
Oh
(By the time it gets inside
You'll be rocking it right this time)

Rock steady, rock steady baby
Rock steady, rock steady baby

Just whip your head
With a feelin' from side to side
Sit yourself down in your car
And take a ride
And while you're movin' on
(Rock steady)
Movin' on
(Rock steady baby)
Let's call this song exactly what it is
(What it is, what it is, what it is)
It's a funky and low down feelin'
(What it is)
Move your hips from left to right
(What it is)
What it is
Is I might be doin'
(What it is)
This funky dance all night

Rock
(Put your hands up in the air)
(What a feelin', ain't got a care)
Rock
(By the time it gets inside
You'll be rocking it right this time)

Rock steady
Rock steady
Rock steady

(What it is)
It's a funky and low down feelin'
(What it is)
Move your hips from left to right
(What it is)
What it is
Is I might be doin'
(What it is)
This funky dance all night

Rock
(Put your hands up in the air)
(What a feelin', ain't got a care)
Rock
(By the time it gets inside
You'll be rocking it right this time)

Hall & Oates

Hall & Oates released the first of their 18 albums in 1972 on Atlantic Records. They would go on to sell 13 million albums and 6 million singles primarily during the 70’s and 80’s when they recorded their most prolific and profound music. They blended rock, jazz, soul, and pop create a genre they titled rock and soul.

While their technical musicianship, innovative songwriting styles, and popular live performances were praised, they also had a fruitful partnership with their manager Tommy Mottola, who was helped Hall & Oates break into music videos before they were popular and made profitable financial deals by helping them get on the ground level of and corporate sponsorship of tours. Hall & Oates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
