Old girlfriend, she come walkin' down the street
When I saw her it was like seeing a stranger, yeah
But even if I try to work it up, no emotions are there
That's when I know what you are to me
And how much I really care

Number one (number one)
Number one (number one)
You are number one with me (one with me)
Number one (number one)
You are number one with me

Blast from the past
Say, why don't you call me anymore?
It's been too long
And some nights I need you so, oh I do
But even if I try to work it up, no emotions are there
That's when I know what you are to me
And how much I really care

Number one (number one)
You are number one with me
Awh, number one (number one, number one)
You are number one with me, yeah
Number one (number one)
You are number one with me
Awh, number one (number one, number one)
You are number one with me

Oh (oh)
Oh (oh)
Oh (oh)
Oh (oh)
Oh (oh)
Oh (oh)

Number one
Yoooouu (number one)
Are number one with me
Number one (number one, number one)
Yeah, you are number one with me
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah (number one)
You are number one with me
Number one (number one, number one)
You are, you are, you are, you are number one with me
Number one (number one), yeah (yeah)

Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
Ain't nobody else (ain't nobody else)
Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
Ain't nobody else (ain't nobody else)
Nobody (Nobody)
Ain't nobody else (ain't nobody else)
Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
Ain't nobody else (ain't nobody else)
Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
Ain't nobody, nobody, yoooou
'Cause you are number one for me (one for me)
Number one, number one, number one

Hall & Oates

Hall & Oates released the first of their 18 albums in 1972 on Atlantic Records. They would go on to sell 13 million albums and 6 million singles primarily during the 70’s and 80’s when they recorded their most prolific and profound music. They blended rock, jazz, soul, and pop create a genre they titled rock and soul.

While their technical musicianship, innovative songwriting styles, and popular live performances were praised, they also had a fruitful partnership with their manager Tommy Mottola, who was helped Hall & Oates break into music videos before they were popular and made profitable financial deals by helping them get on the ground level of and corporate sponsorship of tours. Hall & Oates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
