[Intro]
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Oh, oh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

[Verse 1]
I miss you most of all
When autumn starts to fall
When the sun sets early
When nights are getting long
And I hear our favorite song
Playing each memory

[Pre-Chorus]
I'm trying to fall asleep
Just to see if you'll keep me company in my dreams
You, you've been out of reach
All the letters I send keep coming back to me

[Chorus]
I'm ready, I'm ready
If you want me, come get me
I'm ready, so ready
If you want me

[Verse 2]
Please reach across the sky
Take the early morning flight
I haven't moved since you've gone
Hope you still remember how
To get back in my house
Hope it ain't been too long

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, I'm trying to fall asleep
Just to see if you'll keep me company in my dreams
Oh, if you find a way to me
I can find some ways to make you never ever leave

[Chorus]
I'm ready, I'm ready
If you want me, come get me
I'm ready, so ready
If you want me

[Post-Chorus]
Ooh
La-la-la, la-la, la-la, la-la, la-la
Ooh
La-la-la, la-la, la-la, la-la, la-la

[Chorus]
I'm ready, I'm ready
If you want me, come get me
I'm ready, so ready
If you want me

[Outro]
Ooh, ooh, baby
You know that I'm ready, baby
What do I have to do?
Oh, you know where I am
Baby, come on over now
Come on, ooh, come on

John Legend

John Legend was born in 1978 in Ohio. He became an in-demand session musician and songwriter, working with such artists as Alicia Keys, Twista and Janet Jackson. He was soon introduced to up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West, and the two musicians collaborated on one another’s demos.

J. Ivy claims credit for bestowing the “Legend” moniker upon John Stephens (with an assist from Kanye West). Via

Kanye was like, ‘Have you heard of this singer called John Stephens?’ He played me this song from him, that I think will.i.am produced. It was so refreshing and soulful. An hour later, John Stephens comes into the studio. I told him, ‘I heard your music. It’s so amazing. It sounds old school. Man, you sound like one of the legends. You’re a legend. Matter of fact, that’s what I am going to call you from now The Legend. A couple days later, we were in the lounge of the studio (Record Plant) and John Stephens walks in and everyone shouts him out. I was like, ‘John Legend!’ Kanye then said, ‘You’re John Legend from now on. That’s your name!’”
